2021-2023
Delphi·MD Probes brain health by directly ‘pinging’ brain network and tracking its response in a safe, objective manner. It’s a 1st of a kind technology, therefore an all new design approach was required to answer the challenges of the clinical protocol. New mechanism and applications were developed under tough regulations.

The Probe
Process
HealX Medical innovative electronic solution enabled reducing the probe weight by more then 50%, enabling it to be hand-held device, without the help of a mechanical arm. Eliminating a former paradigm of an exo-skull solution (the arched headphones as illustrated), into a softer solution leaching on the patient head, was a crucial breakthrough in the product development. The procedure itself requiered multiple projection points on the patient head. 2 solutions where designed - a mechanical and soft textiled anchoring systems to the patient's EEG cap. The soft solution won the race...

The Stimulator
Process
The consule development process was always back to back with the electronic and mechanical teams. We began with a full cart design. Different system schemes that will enable both full components enclosure and usability tactics were developed. After minnimization process of the electronic circuits, led by HealX Medical, the system character was changed to a counter-top, plug and play device. The detailed design had a challenging design criteria to enable the device to stand rigid regulations and testings. Those achivments enable the device to be used even in private clinics (and even at home, rather than hospitals), expanding the device potential clientele.

The Cap
Process
Common EEG caps are made of strechable fabric to provide tight contact of the electrodes to the patient's head while keeping his comfort. Our usabilty concept of a leaching device, required The cap to balance an additional exterior weight of the probe. 2 caps were developed with HELEK studio to address this contradiction on both probe solutions. The probe is now attached to the cap with velcro straps, enabaling the operator a flexible more intuitive work flow.
